I am going to use a 4 ton Porta power for the tensioner in my mill. If anyone is looking for what I thought to be a pretty good deal here it is:

http://www.homier.com/hdc-4-ton-porta-power-heavy-duty-portable-hydraulic-kit.html

Whole kit was $59....free shipping. It weighs 40 lbs so I'm guessing they're eating a pretty good freight charge. It's not going to be the same quality as the $250 units I've been pricing out but if you're building on the cheap this looks like it will work just fine. I just though a few guys here might be interested. It was a little tricky tracking it down online. Harbor Freight -usually the lowest prices on this kid of stuff- lists the same unit at $79, your shipping. I went to the manufacturer and they had a great deal on this. It comes in 1 color only....hope you like red. Very Happy

Looks like Harbor Freight has switched to Central Hydraulics instead on HDC so it's not the identical unit. I must have an old catalog.

that's great, a word of caution is that the cylinder may not be chrome or stainless. mine wasn't an it rusted. its no problem just be sure to relive the pressure so as to let the cylinder suck back in. thus preventing it from rusting when not in use.All you will need is a "t" fitting an a pressure gauge (maybe another $15.00)i put mine right at the hand pump it works great
